Our mission is developing accounting leaders: embedded within a liberal
arts focus on critical thinking and effective communication, the Accounting
Department provides a learning community that offers personalized,
experiential, and research-based approaches to lifelong learning combined
with a focus on developing the business professional.
The Accounting Circle is an influential group of business leaders
supporting excellence in accounting education. The Accounting Department
at the University of Oregon's Lundquist Colleg of Business is the top-ranked
accounting program in Oregon and one of the best in the West. The Accounting
Circle provides financial assistance to the Accounting Department to continue
and enhance that excellence by supporting the following ongoing objectives.
Increase scholarships for accounting students
Improve the Accounting Learning Center through the purchase of
computers, software, books, and other learning materials
Expand mentoring and internship opportunities for accounting students
Increase placement opportunities for accounting students
Stimulate the continued professional growth of UO accounting faculty
Foster accounting research
Present awards to faculty and students for superior performance
Enhance the regional and national visibility of the Accounting Department
